The Kensington Luxury Wingback Bed is a upholstered wingback bed frame with a tall winged headboard and a gas-lift ottoman base, giving you hotel-style comfort and a large hidden storage space in one bed.
Why choose the Kensington wingback bed?
- Tall wingback headboard: The winged sides give support when sitting up to read and add a luxury look to the room.
- Gas-lift ottoman storage: The base lifts smoothly with the mattress and stays open, so you can reach everything easily.
- Generous storage space: The open compartments hold bulky items such as duvets, blankets and suitcases.
- Soft, premium upholstery: The [velvet-style / plush] fabric in a neutral cream tone suits modern, Scandi and warm minimalist interiors.
- Tailored finish: The base has clean lines, neat corners and feet.
Who is it for?
The Kensington suits anyone who wants a high-end bedroom look and needs to save floor space. It works well in master bedrooms, guest rooms and smaller homes where a separate wardrobe or chest of drawers won’t fit.
FAQs
What is a wingback bed?
A wingback bed has a tall upholstered headboard with side panels, called wings, that curve forward on each side. This gives extra support for sitting up in bed and a luxurious look.
Does the Kensington wingback bed have storage?
Yes. The Kensington has a gas-lift ottoman base. You lift the base and mattress together, and the open space underneath is ready for bedding and clothes.
Is a wingback bed good for small bedrooms?
Yes, if you choose the ottoman version. The storage under the bed can replace a chest of drawers, which frees up floor space.
What sizes does the Kensington come in?
The Kensington comes in Single, Small Double, Double, King Size, Super King. Check the size selector on the product page for exact dimensions.
How do the gas-lift struts work?
Gas-lift struts do the heavy work, so the base rises smoothly with little effort and stays up while you load or unload.
Do I need a special mattress for an ottoman bed?
No. Any standard mattress in the correct size fits. Mattresses are sold separately.
